Cambridge University Bowman

We are a friendly and enthusiastic club who cater for all levels: from complete beginners (even if you’ve never picked up a bow before) to experienced archers who compete at all levels of competition. Most archers in the club shoot recurve bows, with occasionally people choosing to use barebow or longbow instead.

We welcome archers who just like to shoot for fun as well as archers interested in competing for us! Cambridge University Bowmenhave a great record over the years in many levels of competitions. For example, last year winning the Bronze medal at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Indoor Competition and beating Oxford (again!) in the annual Varsity Match.

City of Cambridge Bowman

CCB is a long established club (1951) that welcomes archers from Cambridge, the surrounding areas and beyond.

CCB welcomes compound, longbow and recurve archers (and prospective archers) of all standards.

Ely Archers are affiliated to GNAS (the Grand National Archery Society), SCAS (the Southern Counties Archery Society) and the CAA (Cambridgeshire Archery Association). We have links with the Kings School in Ely, whose shooting facilities we use.

Fenland Archery Club

Fenland A/C is based in Whittlesey near to Peterborough.

The club shoots at the Sir Harry Smith Community College, where we have the pleasure of shooting on one of the finest archery grounds in the greater Peterborough area and one of the finest outdoor archery ranges in the UK. We also have a superb indoor range at the school.

HACLogoHinchinbrooke Archery Club

The Huntingdon-based Hinchinbrooke Archery Club is a small club and always welcomes new archers and visitors.

Invictus Bowmen was founded in January 2016 and is based in Peterborough. The club offers archery as a sport, a hobby and a social event. It has a strong inclusive ethos.


Jolly Archers

The Club has grown from the initial ten members and is currently one of the largest in Cambridgeshire. We have club archers who compete at National level, some at county level and some at club level shooting alongside novice archers and those who just shoot for fun. The club has a positive attitude to introducing people to the sport; we have worked with Huntingdon District Council and local charities by offering 'taster sessions' and provided "Have a go's" at local fêtes and for local clubs.

Peacock Archers, one of the newest clubs in Cambridgeshire, is based just outside of Cambridge at Bottisham Village College and is dedicated to providing a friendly atmosphere and a place for archers of all ages and abilities to grow and develop in the sport.


Ramsey Ravens Archery Club

Ramsey Ravens Archery Club are one of the newest clubs in the county, although between us we have years of experience. A friendly club shooting in the grounds of Ramsey Abbey Collage on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. We are working with the local community and looking to introduce archery to a larger audience. For further details the please contact us through our website.

Witchford Archer is an open club which shoots indoors (Wednesdays 19:00-22:00hrs) and outdoors (Sundays, 12:30-17:00hrs) at Mills Lane, Witchford near Ely.

The session fee is £5 per person for the first session of the week, the second is free.

Wisbech Grammar School

This archery club is a student club in Wisbech Grammar School. Archery is one of the many sportsthe school offers its students.
